Dry Shampoo is My Knight in Shining Armor

If you are a lady on the go, dry shampoo is a must!  It is perfect for those mornings that you hit snooze one too many times.  Oscar Blandi Pronto Dry Shampoo To Go absorbs oil and dirt and has a lovely lemon verbena scent that smells like freshly shampooed hair.  Oscar Blandi has a powder  and an aerosol version.  I prefer the powder over the aerosol; I get many more applications per bottle when using the powder.
The best part—this Oscar Blandi dry shampoo contains NO sulfate or parabens!  As we all know, I really hate America’s addiction to traditional shampoos, and dry shampoo is a great way to wean yourself from washing your hair daily.

Tips for using dry shampoo

Use dry shampoo on dry hair- duh.

ALWAYS hold the bottle of shampoo 8-10 inches from your scalp.  There is a tendency to hold the bottle really close to your scalp.  You want the powder to disperse across your scalp.   Holding the bottle too close to your head will cause areas of excessive amount of product in the hair.  Your locks will look dull and can even look white if you are not careful.

Never spray/pour dry shampoo directly on your part or to the visible surface layer of your hair.  That way if you use too much product it will not be visible.  So, if you are wearing your hair down then part your hair to the left of where you will part your hair that day and apply the shampoo.  Then comb the shampoo towards your part to distribute and absorb the dirt and grime.  Repeat on the right side of your part.  If you have a fringe that you wear on your face (ex: a side bang, or visor bang) lift your bangs up and distribute the shampoo along your hairline.  If you are wearing your bangs back (ex: in a ponytail) then do not put the shampoo along the hairline.  Put it further back and comb it through towards the hairline.
